Both shields feature a handle, are lightweight but very strong. .Installing security hardware
Mounting the door hardware is very easy. We supply this set including a useful drilling jig, all the necessary fasteners and a comprehensive assembly manual. To be able to attach the shields to your door, it is important to pierce your door at the right points. For this, the Drilling jig is perfect so you get the holes in the right position. To do this, use a 6 mm thick hardwood drill bit, through which the M6 bolts fit perfectly. The outside shield has 10 mm lugs, so pre-drill your door on the outside with an 11 mm hardwood drill bit. You install the cylinder protection on the outside of your door. You place the security over the cylinder and tighten it with the Allen bolts. The necessary allen keys are also included in the Set. Maintenance of black door hardware
.The Black coating of the shields and handles is very hard-wearing. After a long time of intensive use and due to the influence of weather, this Black finish might become slightly lighter. Applying a thin layer of clear wax or acid-free Vaseline can then largely restore the original colour. We also recommend wiping with a soft cloth every now and then.
