We recommend ordering the wood thread bolts for optimal convenience. Are you mounting the post on hardwood? Then first pre-drill with a hardwood drill bit. When mounting on concrete or stone, you need a masonry drill bit and some nylon plugs. Do you want an extra strong fixation? Then use the wedge anchors. Note, do not use these bolts when mounting the post holder on tiles. The tension from the wedge anchors can cause cracks in the tiles.

Once you have all the necessary materials at your disposal, you can start mounting. First determine the location of the post holder and mark it with screw holes. Then pre-drill the holes with a hardwood drill bit, for concrete of course with a masonry drill bit. It is important that the holes in the concrete have a depth equal to the length of the wood thread bolts you are going to use. Finally, fasten the wood thread bolts and you can place the post.
